Day Training

Too Busy to Train?
Whether you are busy at work, out running errands, or simply do not have time to train
your dog, day training is a great option for you.  This is especially good for busy
professionals and families who want to get their dog’s behaviors up and running quickly
and efficiently.

How Day Training Works
  1. We do an initial consultation during which we will discuss your dog’s behavior in
greater detail, in addition to goals and expectations.  We’ll come up with a plan
customized to your dog and circumstances.
  2. Typically, I visit your dog for three training sessions during your busy work week.
You can be present, or feel free to take care of the other things on your plate.
  3. At the end of each week, we’ll schedule a transition session, during which I will show
you the progress up to that point, and teach your dog to perform those same
    behaviors for you.
  4. Lastly, we’ll schedule a follow-up session to make sure things continue to go
    smoothly.

The Benefits of Day Training
  • Your dog will be taught by a certified professional, which means your training goals
will be met faster and the training will last.
  • Your dog learns the behaviors in the context of his own home, where he uses them
most.  And you and your dog avoid the stresses of Board and Train.
  • Your dog enjoys some mental stimulation during the long day alone.
  • You don’t have to do your own dog training.  You don’t even need to be home!

Coaching
Depending on the specific situation, Coaching may be the service approach taken.  This
would be determined by the trainer during or after the first consultation.
